Welcome to the BLUES CRUISE
A team of 4 local guys and gals from Mountsorrel and Syston (Lee Batchelor, Dave Youngs, Jo Kenney and Kate Gardner) who have decided to take part in this years Sucata Run to raise money for gemin-i.org - a worthy charity whose aims are to raise the awareness of HIV and AIDS through high-tech education in developing countries.
The Sucata Run is a non-competitive banger rally starting from Rouen in Northern France working down to Spain and then to Cabo Da Roca in Portugal. This may seem like a not too difficult task until you consider that the event rules stipulate the car must cost less than £250!
Their goal of £1000 is well underway at just over £700 with just over 5 weeks to go! The charity had set each team a target of raising £500 by the 1st of July, which we are pleased to report they have achieved, and this puts them in the top 5 teams so far!
